Big Bricks

we were pretty hungry so we were hoping the hour-ish estimated delivery time would be worth it. the second the food got here, it was clear this meal was our destinylet me tell you, that delivery man was so fine. im sure he was polite but i dont even remember what was said because i was momentarily rendered unconscious by the unprecedented outpouring of pheromones. unfortunately for me, the heart emojis seeping from my eyeballs had absolutely no effect on grubhubby. but i aint mad its over, just glad it happened. oh, and the food was wonderful. moral of this story is i knew i was hungry, but did not know i was so thirsty.

This BBQ was definitely excellent. We had smoked chicken and babyback ribs. The chicken looked .....a little different, to me, but was cooked perfectly. The meat had a wonderful taste, and white and dark meat was cooked through evenly and delicious. The ribs were tasty, meaty, and the meat came off the bones easily -- didn't fall off the bones, but also wasn't too much work to get it off. The only sides we had interest for was the cooked vegetables, and they were surprisingly not overcooked. I suspect their sides are delicious, as they seem to know how to cook!!

Big Bricks never disappoints - except for those few occasions when they run out of chicken or (as happened during RibFest) ribs. Their "seasonal green vegetable" is always a winner, the rib sampler is 4 hefty ribs, and their pulled pork is the best in town. I love the combination platter and their pulled pork tacos. They also have the best salad ever - the aptly-named "Tout le Monde."

I ordered a beet salad, a rack of baby back ribs with a side of beans, and corn bread. Everything was absolutely delicious. I've ordered BBQ from a bunch of different places on the north side of Chicago and it's often dry (e.g. has been under a heat lamp for way too long) or one dimensional (too sweet, too smoky ,etc.). Not these. Big thumbs up! Looking forward to ordering again.

Solid!! Their wings have a great smoky flavor and the sauce has just a little bit of a peppery kick! The homemade cheese sauce is awesome as long as you eat it quickly or it hardens up. Pulled pork, really good, brisket, really good! Fair price for a BBQ place.
